Frugal Fingerpaint

Teacher Weena's fingerpaint: the colors are bright and the consistency - just right.
Cornstrarch is commonly used but the effect is translucent. So I use flour to make it opaque.
Teacher Weena's Fingerpaint
1 C flour
1 C water
1 Tbsp. white vinegar
food color
Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan.
(note: the proportion is 1:1:1, so you can make more)
Make sure there are no more lumps before putting it on the stove.
Cook the mixture until it becomes thick.
(Don't wait for it to boil or you'll get a pasty consistency!)
The paint can be stored in empty ketchup or mayo bottles (the squeeze type) and stored in the refrigerator for about a week.
A note on paper:
I use A0 and A1 sizes. I get them from my hubby's office. These are rejected architectural drawings. These offices usually throw them away. So ask your architect and engineer friends for some if they have 'big scratch papers' to throw away.
The process is more important that the outcome but of course these bright doodles would come into good use for your collage projects!
